TThe Spanish Workshop on Electromagnetic Compatibility
For many, November is a month of transition. The days get cozier, coats take a centre stage in our closets, and a quiet buzz that starts to fill the air. You can feel something approaching, the reunions, the stories, the late-night conversations that light up the room.
You know what season we’re talking about… right?
Of course, it’s the Spanish Workshop on Electromagnetic Compatibility!

The Spanish EMC 2025 Workshop is the main forum for the exchange of knowledge on EMC in Spain, bringing together experts to discuss from radiated and conducted emissions to immunity and measurement techniques while serving as a meeting point to learn about the latest advancements, trends, and solutions emerging in industry.
We’re thrilled to share what our members have been up to. Several PhD researchers from the iSense project presented their latest findings at this ever-growing conference. These presentations have covered into crucial areas of EMC monitoring, including:
- High-frequency models for Rogowski coils constructed with PCBs, presented by Cai (DC15).
- A test-bench-driven dataset and benchmark for three-phase EMC anomaly detection, presented by Pablo (DC09).
Bringing together high-fidelity modelling of sensors with a controlled benchmark for anomaly detection creates a virtuous cycle: better sensor models yield more accurate reference data, which improves the realism and value of datasets used to train and evaluate detection algorithms.
For us, this has been a fantastic opportunity to connect with peers, exchange ideas with experts, and get valuable feedback that will shape the future of our work. This is part of our objectives, build bridges (and better circuits!) to strengthen our field across borders.
A big thank you to the organizers for putting on such a memorable event!
