José Andrés Herrera Morales
DC12

José Andrés is a Doctoral Candidate in the Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) research group at the Department of Electrical Engineering, TU/e. Within the DN–iSense project, his research focuses on electromagnetic environments and interference (EMI) in healthcare. He aims to design machine learning tools that extract environment characteristics from sensor data to assess dynamic changes over time.
Previously, he worked at Lund University as a researcher, developing predictive models to analyze clinical data and performing image analysis to quantify structural changes in lung biopsies.
He holds an M.Sc. in Medical Imaging and Applications, an Erasmus Mundus joint degree across Europe, and a B.Sc. in Electronics Engineering from Universidad de San Carlos de Guatemala, where he served as a Teaching Assistant. His research interests include biomedical technology, electromagnetics, hardware–software integration, and artificial intelligence.
