DC6: Optimization of the parameters for monitoring and describing electromagnetic environments
Project: Optimization of the parameters for monitoring and describing electromagnetic environments (WP2)
Host institution: KU Leuven (Belgium)
Supervisor: Tim Claeys (KU Leuven, Belgium)
Co-supervisor(s): Davy Pissoort (KU Leuven, BE), Anne Roc’h (TU/e, Netherlands), Rob Kleihorst (PHC, Netherlands)
Objectives:
- Identify and prioritize the EM parameters with the most impact on system performance and reliability.
- Develop a cost-effective methodology for EMI monitoring without sacrificing resolution and accuracy.
- Validate the proposed methodology by conducting measurement campaigns in smart-grid and medical environments.
Expected Results:
- Refined set of EM parameters that will serve as the basis for continuous monitoring in high-tech electronic systems.
- Cost-efficient methodology to continuously monitor an EM environment’s most relevant parameters
Planned secondment(s):
- Academic secondment: TU/e, Anne Roc’h, M17-M19, 2M, Applying parameter optimisation for EMI footprints.
- Industrial secondment: PHC, Rob Kleihorst, M30-M32, 2M, validation of the parameter optimization on the electromagnetic environment of an MRI machine
