DC15: Monitoring electromagnetic emissions from large photovoltaic installations
Project: Monitoring electromagnetic emissions from large photovoltaic installations (WP4)
Host institution: EMC Barcelona (Spain)
Supervisor: Marco A Azpúrua (EMC Barcelona, Spain)
Co-supervisor(s): Marcos Quilez (UPC, Spain), Salvador Gonzalez Garcia (UGR, Spain), Martin Forsberg (RISE, Sweden)
Objectives:
- Develop advanced technology for continuously monitoring electromagnetic emissions in large photovoltaic installations during operation.
- Explore advanced sensing techniques considering time, frequency and statistics.
- Establish a validation process involving real-world scenarios like large photovoltaic installations with industry collaboration for practical testing.
Expected Results:
- A validated radiation model that can determine the EMI footprints of photovoltaic systems and installations.
- A methodology for monitoring electromagnetic emissions, tailored for the in-situ assessment of photovoltaic installations.
Planned secondment(s):
- Academic secondment: UGR, S.G. Garcia, M15-M18, 3M, Numerical methods for EM simulations and modelling of PV installations.
- Industrial secondment: RISE, Martin Forsberg, M35-M37, 2M, Power electronics and EMC assessments for PV systems.
